Al Dente Typeface

Al Dente is an Italian-inspired display typeface that balances elegance and edge, with curvy forms punctuated by unexpectedly sharp details.

I pulled a few letters from a word on a 1937 Italian travel poster in Travel Italia and used them as clues to build the rest. From that small sample, I designed an entire alphabet that keeps the spirit of the original poster.
