Defying a culture of convenience, tactile culinary rituals are life-affirming. Through stitching, painting, and decoupage, I layer archival family photographs, textured papers, and needlework made by my Sicilian great grandmother to commemorate preserved ephemera.

Constraints such as tiramisu ingredients, my time studying abroad in Florence, favorite Italian meals, or a fixed palette shape each project into a distinct visual language. By elevating everyday culinary objects, I counter disposability and encourage viewers to recognize how memory lives within them, calling attention to the small, repeated actions that structure daily life.
